At the insect museum – Entomopolis, you will be immersed not only in the world of insects, but also in that of other arthropods, including arachnids, crustaceans and myriapods. Explore the fascinating and often unknown world of these little animals. Let yourself be amazed by their numerousness, splendour, diversity, ingenuity and their influence on other organisms.
This tour is possible until 31 August 2025. After that, we will temporarily close the museum to turn it into a Experience Centre for Biodiversity.

*The museum ticket can be replaced by a combi-ticket if, besides the museum visit, you also do the Barefoot Path.
You do not have to travel to faraway places to go on safari. Insects are everywhere. Go on safari in Lieteberg packed with specially designed trapping equipment and explore the ingenious and diverse world of insects in different biotopes. You will be surprised in how many ecosystem services insects are involved and will understand the consequences of a decline in biodiversity.

The water in pools and ponds may seem quiet, but below the surface, it is teeming with life. These organisms are specially adapted to life under water and tell us something about the quality of the water. With a fishing net, you can search for water animals along the water's edge and among plants. In a magnifying jar, you can see the animal in close up and search in an insect guide which one you caught. You will be amazed by the breathtaking world of aquatic life.
