The catering space at Lieteberg was renovated and given large inviting windows at the front as well as a fresh new interior. Since 3 January, it has been home to Bistro Lieteberg, an initiative of Arbeidskansen vzw. The concept? Serve yourself and eat well. Cosy inside our bistro or outside on the terrace.
In our bistro, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a sandwich, a piece of Limburg flan or other sweet treat, a soft drink or beer, a soup of the day or a hot meal. We serve a menu with mainly Belgian classics, such as videe, stew and meatballs in tomato sauce with fries or a potato dish. We have also thought of the vegetarians. They can choose from veggie meatballs, noodles or a poké bowl. You can find the menu here*.
Be sure to try: a refreshing honey beer. By the way, did you know that our honey beer is brewed with the honey made by the bees of Lieteberg? Does it taste like more? You will also find our honey beer and other local products in the Lietebergshop. So you can continue to enjoy them at home! Or why not give an original Lieteberg product as a gift?
Picnicking on our terrace? You certainly can! We only ask that all drinks are purchased in our bistro.

Bistro Lieteberg is a self-service bistro. You get your meal and drinks at the self-service counter and pay immediately. Choose a spot inside or on the cosy grass terrace and enjoy your meal. Finished? Then clear your table yourself and put empty bottles in the bins. Thanks in advance!
Bistro Lieteberg follows the same opening hours as the visitor centre. Last order a 1/2 hour before closing time.
The entire Lieteberg site is subject to a legal smoking ban, both indoors and outdoors. We want young and old to enjoy nature smoke-free. Can we also count on your cooperation? This way, we protect non-smokers against health damage and set a good example to children and young people. And not to forget, our nature is also very grateful to you! Together, we work on ‘Generation Smoke-Free’.
Bistro Lieteberg is a catering initiative of 'Arbeidskansen vzw'. This organisation guides, supports and motivates people with a distance to the labour market to work, learn and grow. Our choice to collaborate with the social economy is very deliberate: we want to give people opportunities and capitalise on their talents and particularities.
